20th MELTA International Conference

I'm heading off to Kuala Terengganu this weekend for the 20th MELTA International Conference. I've been attending this conference for the past three years and I perceive it as a lifelong investment to my professional development. This year, I'll be presenting a paper on the pedagogical approach in ESL classroom. I'll be talking on The Fun Theory and how it could be beautifully adapted in igniting creative sparks, promoting thinking skills and arousing students' interest in learning. I honestly look forward to learning and sharing new ideas with the local and international delegates. I've discovered that the conference rejuvenates my interests towards learning and rekindles my passion towards teaching. I do hope I could network with other teachers and perhaps, go shopping? Heh. Yeah, there's a lot of marking to be done for sure but I think I deserve to take a breather. Guess I need to plan my holiday carefully.

Happy holidays!

Hi Fadzleen!

It's great to hear that you will be presenting at the MELTA Conference in KT. All the best & hope you'll get a good audience.

I've been attending and presenting at MELTA Conferences for almost 10 years without fail. But have been giving the conference a miss since last year as I'm going into other aspects of my professional development e.g. SpaceCamp & science focused language activities.

Do have a great time over there. Loved the postcard beaches and scenery.

Hi Rodney,
Thanks a lot for your support, much appreciated. Honestly, I was inspired by Kak Rahmah and you and hopefully, I can emulate your enthusiasm and passion towards professional development. Yeah, I have a good feeling that the conference is going to be fantastic. I've read about your involvement in the Teachers' Space Camp. Hats off Rodney, what an achievement!

Hi Pn. Fadzleen,
Just to say that I am in awe of your presentation yesterday. You speak very well! It was brilliantly delivered and I have gained a lot of knowledge too. I hope one day I can speak as articulate as you do. Please keep on sharing your ideas with us. Thank you. Will you be attending ICELT? If you are, I hope you will be presenting too.

Hi Fadzleen,
I'm one of the MELTA Conference's participants and I attended your session and I think it was energetic and informative. It's rare to find teachers who develop their own teaching materials and are willing to share with others FOC. Thanks a million.
