salam fadzleen,
I've been following your blog since last year and it's been a great help for my career as a teacher in mrsm. i'm particularly interested in the JSLC and am interested to have my students join it, maybe next year. i'm not really familiar with it so could you please give me more info on what it's all about and how do i go about with it?

Hi Faiz,
For the 1st cohort, the schools that were involved were from cluster and premier schools. However, for this year, we have opened the JSL to all the schools in Johor. The candidate must be in Form 4, preferably born and bred in Johor. If not, the parents must be Johoreans. Personally, I think you would fit in well, Faiz but unfortunately your school was not part of the selection last time. Nonetheless, I believe you can still pursue your leadership and skills as you move on to varsity level.

Hi Rina,
Thank you for dropping by and I'm humbled that you find that my blog resourceful. In regards to your question, Johor Student Leaders Council cater to the student leaders in Johor and the membership is for those currently staying and studying in Johor. However, I believe the fundamental idea of forming a Student Leaders Council might be a brilliant idea for MRSM students. As they are gifted with competence and gift of the gab, it would be a good platform to nurture young leaders. If you do have any query on this, let me know, yeah? I'll try my best to help you out.

Oh yeah, one thing to add. The JSLC do organise an annual international conference called Johor International Student Leaders Council Conference where we invite student leaders from all over the world to discuss and ignite ideas and consensus on issues pertaining to teenagers. This year's conference managed to attract participants from Australia, South Africa, Brunei, Indonesia, Qatar, Thailand, Vietnam, India and from Malaysia too. If you are interested, you can send your students to participate in next year's conference. I'll update any info on JSL from time to time in this blog.
